Hey Beautiful Mama!

It's Chelsey here! 👋

Earlier this year, I had the most incredible conversation with Kristen Boss, a mama who built a 7-figure business by rejecting hustle culture.

Her story changed how I see success, and I know it will resonate with you too.

Her story hit home because, like many of you, she started thinking success meant working around the clock.

Picture this...

A new mom with a 5-month-old and a 20-month-old, working as a hairstylist during the day and staying up until 2 AM building her business.

Sound familiar?

But here's what struck me…

Even when she hit her financial goals, something was still missing.

Today, I want to share the 4 lessons I learned from her story that can help you build a thriving business without sacrificing your well-being or family time.

1. Redefine Success on Your Terms

Remember when you first started your business? Maybe you thought success meant hitting certain numbers or working endless hours.

I know I did.

But what if success could look different?

Kristen had to completely shift her definition of success.

Instead of measuring her worth by her output, she started measuring it by her impact and fulfillment.

This isn't just about working less – it's about working with purpose.

Once you've redefined what success means for you, the next step is to set boundaries that protect your vision.

2. Embrace the Power of Clear Boundaries

Here's something that really stood out to me...

Kristen talked about removing the "nooks and crannies" mentality from her business.

You know, that habit of squeezing work into every free moment… during nap time, while eating, or late at night.

Instead, try this:

Create dedicated work hours where you're fully present in your business, and when you're with family, be fully there.

No more half-present mom who's secretly checking emails during playtime.

3. Start with Gratitude

This was such a powerful insight...

Before Kristen's business really took off, she made a conscious decision to practice gratitude for where she was right now.

Even when she was a paycheck away from struggle, she asked herself:

"How is this life I'm living perfect as it is?"

It's not about settling; it's about removing the desperate energy from your work.

When you operate from a place of gratitude rather than scarcity, everything shifts.

4. Release the Timeline

Here's something that might feel uncomfortable...

What if you removed all timelines from your goals?

Kristen shared how releasing her expectations about when things should happen actually helped her achieve success faster.

Instead of thinking, "I need to hit six figures by next year," focus on building a sustainable business that serves your life and family well.

Your Action Steps This Week:

  1. Create Clear Work Boundaries:
Choose specific hours for work and stick to them. When you're working, be all in. When you're with family, be all in.

  2. Start a Gratitude Practice:
Before checking your email or social media each morning, write down three things you're grateful for in your current business and life.

  3. Audit Your Schedule:
Look at where you're working in the "nooks and crannies" of your day. How can you consolidate that time into focused work blocks?

  4. Check Your Hustle Mindset:
Ask yourself: "Am I working from a place of scarcity or purpose?" If it's scarcity, pause and redirect your energy toward meaningful work.

Remember, Beautiful Mama, building a business isn't about hustling harder… It's about working with intention and purpose.

You don't have to choose between being a present mother and a successful entrepreneur.

You can be both, but it starts with choosing purpose over hustle.

With love and gratitude,
Chelsey Diaz
